  PA State Troopers: DUI "Strikeforce"
In the past two years, state police have arrested 4,652 motorists for driving under the influence through the Checkpoint Strikeforce Program, started in October 2008.  Originally intended to be a one-year program, the initiative was renewed in October 2009 and will be renewed again this year.

Over 300 of these arrests have taken place in Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne Counties.  According to Monday's Times-Tribune, troopers plan to set up DUI checkpoints on at least 20 weekends between now and August.

A DUI arrest can be extremely costly and damaging.  If you have been arrested for DUI, you need to speak with a qualified Scranton DUI attorney immediately.  Do not wait to contact a passionate and knowledgeable Scranton DUI/DWI lawyer who will bring nearly 20 years of experience to your case.
